As of 23: 30 on the 23rd, the disaster has caused more than 84,000 households and more than 290,000 people in 10 counties and cities in Quanzhou to be affected, with 5 people killed, 2 missing and 7 injured. At present, various disaster relief work has been carried out in an orderly manner.

  Since September, the average rainfall in Chuxiong Prefecture has reached 224 mm, 135 mm more than the same period in previous years, setting a new record for the largest rainfall in the same period in history. Among them, the rainfall process from 16th to 20th is the strongest precipitation weather process in Quanzhou since the flood season this year, which is rare in the same period of history.

  Heavy rainfall caused catastrophic mountain torrents and mudslides in Yuanmou County, forming two dammed lakes, which caused the interruption between Hongjiang and Cucumber Park in chengdu-kunming railway.   After the disaster occurred, the Disaster Reduction Committee of Chuxiong Prefecture launched the Class III emergency response of natural disaster relief in Chuxiong Prefecture on September 18th, and the state finance allocated 4.6 million yuan for emergency relief. The water affairs, transportation, land, civil affairs, fire protection and other departments organized their efforts to rescue the dam pond and reservoir, and repaired the Tongcun highway that dredged the landslide. At present, the state has invested more than 16,000 rescue and relief forces and dispatched more than 1,600 mechanical vehicles to ensure the smooth lifeline of disaster areas and the smooth development of disaster relief work.

  At the same time, public security, fire control and other departments sent working groups to further increase the search and rescue efforts for missing persons. At present, a missing person who was washed away by mudslides in Zhenhao Village, Cucumber Garden, Yuanmou County was searched at 7 am on the 23rd to confirm his death. Two missing persons in Wuding County are still in full search.

At present, the diversion channels of Hailuo and Zhubu dammed lakes formed by the "9.17" catastrophic mudslide in Yuanmou County have been fully opened and the water level has begun to drop.
