Students with mutual recognition of credits in 14 universities in Jiangxi can choose courses across schools.
Xinhua News Agency, Nanchang, January 13th (Reporter Guo Qiang) On the basis of pilot projects, in the future, Jiangxi will comprehensively promote the reform of the credit system in colleges and universities, with credit conversion among various colleges and universities, and college students can choose courses across colleges and universities.
Wang Lixia, deputy director of Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education, introduced that September 2017-December 2020 was the pilot stage of credit recognition for ordinary colleges and universities in Jiangxi Province, and 14 universities including Nanchang University, Jiangxi Normal University, Jiangxi Agricultural University, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and East China Jiaotong University were included in the pilot of credit system reform.
Students in pilot universities can log on to Jiangxi University Credit Mutual Recognition Management Information System to choose courses online, take courses as required, and pass the course examination before they can get grades and corresponding credits. In addition to the mutual recognition of general course credits, professional courses with the same or similar course names and teaching content similarity rate of more than 80% can also be mutually recognized.
In addition to the pilot reform of the credit system, Jiangxi Province will also carry out the construction of provincial-level fine online open courses. College students can "rub" popular classes in other universities without leaving school, and have more opportunities to "get in touch" with famous professors and scholars. In March 2018, 100 selected courses will be tried out on the platform of Jiangxi Curriculum Resource Sharing Center.
